Durango Herald Skiers and snowboarders enjoy the sounds of the Kirk James Blues Band at Durango Mountain Resort on Wednesday afternoon. About 2,000 people paid $10 for Benefit Day lift tickets, with all proceeds going to the Durango Arts Center. The resort raised about $22,000 in 2001 on Benefit Day for the San Juan Mountains Association.
